Straight and Formed Tubular Heaters

The sheathed metal tubular heating element from Bucan provides an excellent heat transfer with convection, to heat air, liquids and gases, conduction to heat tooling such as molds, platens, castings and dies or radiation to heat surfaces or objects. Tubular heaters are manufactured in straight lengths or formed to required shapes with optional sheath diameters and materials, terminations, and watt densities for temperatures reaching up to 1500° F. Industrial Immersion Heaters

Bucan industrial immersion heaters are used to heat a variety of liquids from water to oils, asphalt, wax, petrochemicals, gases and more to maintain a process temperature or lower viscosity and increase flow. Immersion heaters are built using a single hairpin shaped element or a multiple of elements, available in various sheath materials and diameters to best meet the requirements of the application. The elements are constructed in screw plugs or flanges with optional terminal housing styles and features including thermocouples, thermowells, thermostats or high limits. Circulation Heaters

The Bucan circulation heater provides a complete process system for heating mediums that include water, solutions, hydraulic oils, inert gases, super heating steam and more. A circulation heater consists of an immersion heater mounted in a pipe or insulated pressure vessel with an inlet and outlet to create a continuous flow of material over the heaters. Bucan offers standard sizes or made to order designs with optional features to be selected for the element sheath material, diameters and watt densities, vessel size, materials, pressure ratings and connections, terminal housings, process controls and other requirements. Duct Heaters

The duct heaters or forced air duct heaters from Bucan are designed to heat passing air from a fan or blower and are used in a variety of applications including installation in ducts for air conditioning and dehumidification or used in industrial ovens for curing, drying, heat treating and more for temperatures up to 1100°F. The standard construction for the Bucan duct heaters include Incoloy heating elements configured for maximum heat transfer, mild steel mounting plate, keeper plate, support hardware and general purpose terminal enclosure. Mica Band Heaters

Bucan mica band heaters are designed and constructed to provide an economical and rugged heating solution for operating temperatures up to 900°F. Mica band heaters are used in industry standard applications including injection mold machine barrels, plastic extruder barrels, blow molding machines and any other round or cylindrical shaped containers or pipes requiring heat. The outer metal sheath of Bucan mica band heaters are made with a special alloy to reduce expansion, to provide excellent heat transfer, improved fit and extended life. A high grade mica insulation ensures efficient thermal conductivity, uniform heat distribution and dielectric strength. Standard made to order mica band heater designs include one and two piece construction with inside diameters from 5/8” to 44” max, widths of 5/8” to 14” max, other shapes and sizes are available. Other standard construction features include a wide variety of clamping mechanisms, electrical terminations with threaded post terminals, lead wires, European plugs, cutouts, holes and more. Ceramic Band Heaters

Bucan ceramic band heaters are constructed to provide an energy efficient flexible heater design with operating temperatures up to 1200°F. Ceramic band heaters are used on barrels of injection mold machines, plastic extruder barrels, blow molding machines die heads, wire processing machines and more. The stainless steel outer jacket with nickel-chrome heating cores inside of interlocking ceramic tiles use less energy, reduce ambient temperatures and provide uniform heat transfer with conduction and radiation. Silicone Rubber Heaters

The silicone rubber heaters from Bucan provide a thin, flexible and lightweight heater design that is moisture and chemical resistant for operating temperatures of -70° to 450°F. Kapton Heaters

The Bucan Kapton heaters provide the benefits of an extremely thin profile, durability, flexibility, strength, chemical resistance and low outgassing with an even distribution of heat and precise temperatures. Kapton heaters are the perfect solution for small spaces requiring fast heat up and cool down, with operating temperatures of -320°F to 392°F. Bucan Kapton heaters are made using a chemically etched resistive circuit, bonded between layers of polyimide film in required shapes and patterns. With optional standard features including lead wires, temperature sensors and thermostats, holes and cutouts, multiple heat zones and pressure sensitive adhesives for secure attachment.
