The Gneuss MC Measurement Technologies division has been manufacturing melt pressure transducers for their filtration equipment for decades. Gneuss MC dedicated years of studying industry melt pressure sensor failures, to engineer an improved, advanced design. Constructed from high grade stainless steel, laser welded, with a denser, heavier weight. Significant improvements include a proprietary membrane in the tip diaphragm, designed for increased volume cycles and longer life. The diaphragm is related to 90% of sensor failures. Other improvements include vibration protection, an impact resistant, non-memory flexible capillary, the Gneuss MC NTX fill, is an FDA approved non-mercury sensor medium for medical and food applications, permanent marking for product identification and ISO 9001 certified.

The Gneuss MC Melt Temperature sensor is available with a ceramic insulated stem, to ensure temperature measurement isolated to the tip for a true melt temperature reading. Suitable for applications up to 932F (500C) with thermocouple and RTD sensor options available. Melt pressure transducers are used in a wide variety of applications including plastic extrusion of medical and pharmaceutical tubing, piping and profiles, sheet and films, compounding of plastic resins, color, additives, blowmolding, pumps, viscometers, OEM extrusion equipment and more.
